Getting Blonde, Fashionista Style Hop

January 28, 2014 By Shelley Zurek 35 Comments

Sometimes Fashion is about the Hair!

Welcome to the Getting Blonde edition of the Fashionista Style Hop! Occasionally, we need to touch up certain things in our life..for me, this time, it was my hair!

Getting Blonde

The Chief Blonde is wearing Mountain Khaki Jacket ($155), Karina Dresses Josie Dress with 3/4 sleeve ($138, on sale now for $60), Belt (rummage sale find)  Hair styled by Alyssa Bratton, Andrew Marke Salon, Rochester Hills, MI

My hair was towhead blonde (meaning almost white)  in my youth but then I turned a mousy brown. I mean really not a good color…at all. I started highlighting my hair in 8th grade and never looked back! I have been many shades of blonde, it usually depends on my colorist what shade I am currently rocking. I definitely like a whiter blonde over a golden blonde (for me).

I agree hair color can change your look completely. My mom was like you, she had blonde hair and it turned brown and she always dyes it. I love your hair color, so pretty!

You always look ready to just toss your hair back and smiling. I love the clothes you wear and your hair is so pretty. I’ve never colored my hair. I thought mine would be more gray than it is. We were just talking about that the other day. LOL…

You can always dye it grayer. Gray is so popular right now. Thanks for the sweet compliments Karen. The Chief BLonde

I’m glad you use a colorist. I know blondes who do their hair @ home and it looks tinny. Yours looks great and natural

Rosanne, Thanks so much. Yes, I wouldn’t do mine at home because I can’t even craft! What makes me think I could handle my hair? LOL! The Chief Blonde
