Crowd-Sourced Food52 is launching 52 weeks of recipe contests
Crowd-sourced cookbook is looking for you!
Your entries are needed for Food52s second crowd-sourced cookbook, to be published by Harper Collins in 2012. Last Wednesday, food52 announced the community-selected winner of the first contest for this book: Roasted Red Pepper Soup with Corn and Cilantro. Contest for Your Best Brown Bag Lunch (week 5) is in progress.
As with the first year, contest themes will be wide-ranging and will focus on seasonality. Each week, anyone can enter an original recipe for a chance to win a spot in the cookbook, along with great prizes from our sponsors, including Viking and OXO.
Also, if you haven’t seen it yet, check out food52’s latest addition: Foodpickle, the first 911 for everything food. Utilizing Twitter and crowd-sourcing, anyone can ask a food question when he’s in a “pickle” and get a fast, personalized response. And anyone can follow @foodpickle on Twitter to see questions as they come in. See all the chatter here.
