Drug Free Pain Relief in Panama City

Recently, Walt and I visited Panama City, Panama, you know, that place where the Panama Canal was built was built in 1914? Our adventures took us all over the city for 10 days and we just didn’t stop. It was intense walking, climbing, bumping along in a tour van, I was always worried that Walt’s back would act up.

Walt hung out with a sloth that was crossing the road in the rainforest.
Walt swung on vines and hiked through the rainforest. He cruised the Panama canal.

As you can see, our trip was very active. Each night when I got back to the hotel, I collapsed on the bed. But each night when Walt got back to the hotel, he used the Wireless Omron AVAIL TENS Device which we brought along with us.

What is the Wireless Omron AVAIL TENS Device? Drug Free Pain Relief ?

Wireless Omron Avail Tens Device is  an innovative over-the-counter medical device for safe and effective drug-free pain relief. Avail is Omron’s first TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) unit with wireless and dual channel capability that provides relief from chronic and acute pain. The device can treat multiple pain sites simultaneously and is controlled by Omron’s new mobile app, Omron TENS, enabling users to operate Avail remotely.

A therapy regularly administered by physical therapists and chiropractors, TENS sends stimulating pulses across the surface of the skin and along the nerve strands. The pulses help prevent pain signals from reaching the brain. Electrical stimulation can also trigger the body to release endorphins, which act as natural painkillers, and improve blood circulation. Omron was the first company to market with an over-the-counter FDA-cleared TENS medical device for use at home.

The Omron Avail comes with two soft, contoured pads that fit comfortably and securely to treat a variety of areas of pain simultaneously. Avail’s five pre-programmed Body Pain Modes soothe lower back, shoulder, knee, elbow and leg pain with recommended therapies. Avail users can also design their own therapies using five additional pulsation modes – including steady, acupuncture-like, knead, tap and microcurrent – and 20 different intensity levels.

I learned that TENS is a safe, drug-free treatment that has been used by physical therapists and chiropractors to treat pain for over 30 years, and is now available without a prescription.

I love the size of the Tens unit. It’s so small for portability. I have an older one with a lot of wires and it’s bulky. This would be wonderful to have for quick availability of comfort.

I learned that this product is a natural alternative for chronic and acute back pain. I would love to try this because I don’t like the nasty side-effects of pharmaceuticals pain killers.

I like that it has multiple pain modes allowing you to control it. On days when the pain is bad you can use a higher setting and on ok days lower settings. This would be perfect for hubby’s herniated disks!

My husband and I both have back problems. this would be perfect since we tried the other one out there but can’t seem to keep it in place. It is not as sophisticated as the Omron. We each have an Omron BP wrist monitor and know how well they are made and have lasted for years now. I love the idea of being able to control this unit, that it works on muscles and joints both, easy to wear. Love the fact that the charge is long lasting! Sounds like a perfect solution for us and our back problems. We can only be on our feet a short time before looking for a place to sit. Maybe now we can go to the store and get groceries without being in such pain. or having to take pain meds. , but now we will need to get 2 of them. One for each of us to wear. Thanks for the chance to win one!

I learned the Omron is now offering a wireless TENS unit, which has been approved by the FDA for home use. Omron’s Avail TENS unit can treat more than one area at the same time, works with Bluetooth, and is a medicine free way to treat both chronic and acute pain.

I thought the tens device had to be administered by a physician. I didn’t know you could buy it over the counter and it was cleared by the FDA. I found out it was wireless, it has twenty different intensity levels and you can control the Omron AVAIL TENS Device with a Android or IOS mobile app.
