Carolyn Pollack celebrates the heritage of American jewelry in the Southwest

When I want a statement necklace or a piece of jewelry, I don’t want to mess around. My personality pretty much screams “Statement” and I want jewelry that matches that, in an elegant manner of course! When Carolyn Pollack approached me about featuring her American West collection, I didn’t hesitate to say YES!

I browsed her website of gorgeous rings, necklaces, pendants, earrings and bracelets and discovered these fantastic pieces.

Sterling silver, bronze and brass floral, rope, tooling and southwest designs are very appealing to me as my father’s family comes from the west and we have always had that spirit running through our veins. It was so hard to choose my review piece but I finally settled on this beauty.

Carolyn Pollack American West Sterling Silver And Brass Lapis Statement Necklace, $269

I have never worn Lapis before and I may never wear another blue stone other than Lapis again. Lapis is just so mesmerizing. The wide station for displaying the various stones with the flowing leaf and scrolling patterns in sterling silver and brass make this a showstopper for me. I love how it looks with this purple top but can’t you also imagine it with a crisp white button-down and a blue jean jacket?

Necklaces always look fantastic in the website photo but I wanted to show you just how stunning this necklace is in real life.  This shot is taken outside on my patio table.  I think it really captures how wonderful high quality jewelry can look.

I love this necklace and Southwestern jewelry – American West Sterling Red Coral Squash Blossom Necklace. This piece would go with a bracelet I bought several years ago. I had an opportunity to purchase one at a discount at a yard sale several years ago, I didn’t and I still regret it.

First word that came out of my mouth when I saw this giveaway and the necklace was “WoW”. All her jewelry is so beautiful, but I really love the “Kenneth Johnson Sterling Silver and Black Spinel Spider Earrings”. I’m a goth chick and those are beautiful spiders, of course I would love those, lol.

One of the pieces I really liked was the American West Sterling Adjustable Leather Strap Bracelet. Although her necklaces are stunning, I do not normally wear necklaces. I prefer bracelets because of sensory issue. I also like the silver on this bracelet and silver is my preferred metal in jewelry.
