Cost to fix my saggy neck? breasts? Plastic Surgery Costs 2014

March 31, 2014 By Shelley Zurek 52 Comments

Sometimes I photoshop my neck…and other confessions

This Plastic Surgery Costs 2014 is brought to you in conjunction with Dr. Kaplan’s Buildmybod to help you find costs of plastic surgery procedures in your area of the country.

The Saggy Neck — Is plastic surgery the answer?

I used to have a long and graceful neck. In fact, at times, I felt my neck was too long. I actually stopped obsessing about that when I met ballet dancers and realized a long neck can be an asset (alas, it didn’t make me the Swan Queen…)

However, as I often model fashion on this blog, I have to shift through countless pictures of myself. Many times, if not outloud, than in my head, I think “Egads…whose NECK is that?”  when choosing images to post. I resort to various techniques to camouflage my neck including PicMonkey airbrushing, scarves, and the famous “block the neck with the hand” pose.

Sometimes, I wonder–if I had the money or was willing to spend the money– is plastic surgery the answer? That always leads me to think about what plastic surgery procedures actually cost.

Plastic Surgery Costs for 2014

Anyone who is toying with the idea of plastic surgery will want to check the new website called www.BuildMyBod.com – the only place to get real time procedure pricing including all the extras like the operating room, etc. I find the blog especially useful as it details many procedures with pictures, costs, and aspects to consider.

Plastic surgery pricing can be very difficult to understand because there are so many factors involved such as the surgeon’s fee, OR fees, anesthesia fees, cost of implants (if any), post-op garments, cosmetic insurance, etc. Those factors are hard to include as a menu on a website but BuildMyBod’s patented system allows a plastic surgeon to enter fees for each procedure and take into account all of those variables. For example, OR/anesthesia fees depend on how long the operation is. The BuildMyBod system can alter the costs instantaneously to correspond to the procedure or procedures to give an accurate estimate.

I have thought about getting things done, but maybe I am old fashion, I think I have all my parts just the way my Father , Christ Jesus wanted me to have and look, I am not here to judge so if someone feels the need , then go ahead .

I don`t think about getting any kind of plastic surgery. I am thankful that I am aging gracefully and try not to worry and keep my skin looking natural.

I would love to have a few places fixed after 5 kids. This was really interesting even if I can’t afford. Unless someone would like to front me 10k 🙂

I could never afford plastic surgery as my insurance only covers a catastrophic type of surgery.

I read somewhere the neck is the first to go. I could use my neck being done, and everything else on this list, except maybe my nose. Seeing I don’t have the money, I try not to think about it. If I could remotely afford it, I get some injectibles.

I had my breast done several years ago in HI. For a count of 10,000$. Glad I did it. I now can wear any kind of shirt. Swim suits and find bra’s. If I wore a low cut shirt. Even with a bra my loose skin (as I wouldn’t even call them boobs) would just fall out. Same with bathing suits. After a surgery to remove a tumor and having my first child. I had nothing, but loose saggy skin. That was more of a pain. I would have been fine getting the implants or just removing all the skin, but with the implants. I now can wear anything I want and no one knows they are fake. After all theses years. No one has been able to tell I got them done. I and my husband did a lot (a whole lot) of research. On the different types of implants, ways of doing the surgery and doctors. Took about a couple months to find a doctor and figure every thing else out. I know it is not for every one, but if you are looking to get any plastic surgery. Please do your homework first.

Hopefully I will age gracefully. My grandmother and my mother both look young for their age.

I personally would never have any type of surgery on face, boobs or otherwise. I dont color my hair either. I am who I am. Tho I think you look good enough, that choice is up to you . If you feel it is worth the time , money and pain and or any after effects years down the road then do it for yourself.

I don’t worry about my neck yet, but I am strong believer in, if you can do something to make yourself happy with your looks, do it! I would get my nose, boobs, backside, stomach, and probably some other things done, too, if I could afford it…

My neck is the place that really shows my age. I am thinking about trying some kind of tightening cream to start using! Have you looked into the cream That DR Oz Advertises on TV? That’s what I am going to check out! If its no too terribly expensive I might give it a try! Plastic surgery is too invasive for me . I have heard a lot of Horror stories about plastic surgery~ Needless to say its a no for me. Shelly I have seen you model so many different Outfits, Coats & etc. You always look Beautiful~ Have a Great Day!!

I feel like I have too much fat on my neck/under my chin, so like you, I hide it by turning my head a certain way or covering it up.

I wear a lot of scarves, as I age, but honestly I never considered plastic surgery. Why? For me personally, it is not worth the risk, as I know someone who died from complications of her plastic surgery. That did it for me.

I used to worry about my neck..and had the same conclusion as “Dolly Parton” If it sagged ,dragged,or bagged I would gt it taken “care of” But..after much deliberation and the look in my bank account..lol..I now just camo it as much as I can…and just am Thankful I am still alive and able to use this sagging bagging and dragging body to spend time with my children and grandchildren.

Interesting! I will have to say my neck is not something I have ever considered..Or anyone else’s neck for that matter 😉 Tummy tuck is the only thing on here that really catches my eye after two kiddos and two cesareans but I’m still hoping for a third so I would definitely wait till after that! Good to know the cost though!!

I don’t think I could ever justify spending that much on cosmetic surgery, but I say if you have the money and you want to do, go for it! Ain’t no shame in it!
