Cheetah-licious!

March 21, 2014 By Shelley Zurek 60 Comments

PRRRR…

Blog Note: Whoot! I was provided a snazzy Karina dresses Penelope for this “Cheetahlicious” review!

Karina Dresses Cheetah Penelope 1

Location: Fenton Fire Hall, in Fenton, MI. The Chief Blonde is wearing Karina 3/4 Sleeve Penelope Cheetah Dress ($158), Sam’s Club embellished tank top (similar), Aerosole oxfords  (similar) ,

The Karina Dresses Penelope

The Penelope from Karina Dresses has a criss-cross v-front, small gathers on front and back bodice, waistband with pleated skirt, and pockets!!! I love how it is not a big flowy skirt, but a little more fitted. It hits me above the knee ( I am 5′ 4″). Currently, the Karina Dresses Penelope  lists for $158. (Psst…there might be a sale) Get over there NOW!!

The Penelope is one of my favorite Karina Dresses but I wouldn’t advise it for those that are long waisted. It lends itself well to wearing with a camisole and/or a sweater. As always, I adore Karina dresses because they are US MADE, right in Brooklyn, New York.

Karina Dresses Cheetah Penelope spring 2014 #dresstacular

Don’t up you love this turquoise Penelope for spring? Karina dresses are made of limited edition microfiber fabric that is breathable and durable. They fit great and are very flattering…they will be there for you, 5 pounds up or down!

Great for Drinks with Friends or Playing Marbles

Karina Dresses Cheetah 3a

I wore this dress on a trip out with friends to the Fenton Fire Hall, in Fenton, MI.  After we ate, we went to  a friend’s and played marbles until 12:30 am! The dress took me through 7 hours and still looked grand.

Looking at Penelope from a different angle

Here’s a look at how Jennifer from Makobi Scribe, Jenna from Momma Told Me,  and Vovoa styled the Penelope.

You look gorgeous!! I love those dresses. I wear a lot of dress as I have an ostomy so it can be hidden very easily under the Karina Dresses. Thank for modelling them for us!

Hi Trish, I just got the Jenny! I think that would work well with the ostomy. Glad you found a solution! The Chief Blonde

The best is the cheetah one, closely followed by all the rest; there isn’t a bad one in the bunch!

You look marvelous! I love the 3/4 sleeves. I would need that, I have a thing about my upper arms. They’re not big but jiggley. Love the color and how you accessorize this. Putting a coordinating camisole is brilliant. Thanks for the review.

Thanks for the compliments Trish! I agree on the 3/4 sleeves. It’s been like that since I was 12. This has always been my worst feature IMO! The Chief Blonde

I love the style of the Penelope dress. Although I don’t know if I personally could pull off animal print. Looks great on you though!

Shantelle, You should try some on! You’d be surprised! Try a shoe or glove first and then branch out! I now have a belt, a purse, shoes, a jacket, a top, and several dresses. It really gets addictive. The Chief Blonde

If someone had told me years ago I would be in love with a cheetah print dress, I would have said they were nuts. HA. well, people change, don’t they? The dress looks wonderful on you, and I love the fact that you can sit, move, etc….in it and it doesn’t turn into a wrinkled mess!

I love them all. They all look so beautiful and comfortable to wear. I love that they are figure flattering, and have pockets without being hippy. My favorite would be the cheetah print. It is another great dress that has so many ways to wear it,and style it. There are any number of places to wear it to. And don’t get me started on the shoes you could wear with it. I’ll run out of room to type.

I just love how classy you styled the Cheetah Print! I think this look makes you look so young too- but a great dress can also make you feel young at heart again too, can’t it? That’s why I love the flowy skirt on the Penelope!

You look beautiful in your Penelope dress. I love animal prints but just don’t have the flare to carry them off.
