Ever wonder how some couples (or people) as they age maintain that “Can Do” attitude? How they just keep going and experiencing and loving life? Here are a few characteristics that I feel help “Can Do” couples experience and enjoy life:
- They keep a positive attitude even in the face of adversity
- They encourage each other and those around them
- When they have a set back, they try to get back up
- They keep up on the latest trends
- They surround themselves with friends and family
- They plan things to look forward to
- They find reasons to smile and laugh
- They maintain a healthy lifestyle by focusing on great nutrition
An example of Walt and I as a “Can Do” couple: We keep up on the latest trends by regularly Snapchatting family and friends and using the latest filters!

Did you notice how Byron and Helen embody many of the characteristics that I outlined above of “Can Do” couples? They laugh and smile often, have things scheduled to look forward to, they stay current, and remember to focus on great nutrition.
Byron and Helen have been together for 58 years. Their love of classic cars and motorcycles has always kept them active but it almost sidelined them when they had an accident. With the help of Ensure, they got back on their bike and back to doing what they love! I find their story inspirational and motivational for Walt and I.

My husband and I are in our 60’s and try to keep active even though it isn’t always easy in our climate but it is so worth it.
My husband and I will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary this Oct. We are best friends and have been through so much together. He is battling cancer as of the last two months and this has brought us even closer. It sure does make you appreciate each day!

Sounds like a great grand prize. Of course having an extra thousand a year would be awesome. There is so much that I could do with that, including putting some money aside for my daughter’s college education. It is so cool to see different couples who keep up with things and stay current on trends. All of them look so cute. Good to see people who still love one another like that as they age.
