Best Wood Toys for Grandparents to Give!

As a grandparent, aunt, great aunt, or older family friend do you ever wonder what to give a baby, toddler or child for a lasting gift? What kind of toys should grandparents have at their home for children to play with?

When I was growing up, my grandparents had old and very different toys for us to play with then what we had at home. My grandma let us play with her old doll buggy from when she was little. They also had a lot of the toys that my mom and her brothers played with when they were little.

As an aunt and great-aunt, I always want to have fun toys at my house for the kids to play with and enjoy but unique ones that they won’t or don’t have at home. I also want to give lasting gifts to them, so the toys will be treasured and passed down.

    I like HAPE the walk along puppy. My niece is just turning 2 and she has a puppy she loves. I think this toy would make her happy.

    I would like the Melissa & Doug 100-Piece Wood Blocks Set.They’re such a classic and have a lot of potential for creativity. Can’t go wrong with good old blocks, plus I really like melissa and doug.
