Need a gift for baby, toddler or child? Give wooden toys!
Best Wood Toys for Grandparents to Give!
As a grandparent, aunt, great aunt, or older family friend do you ever wonder what to give a baby, toddler or child for a lasting gift? What kind of toys should grandparents have at their home for children to play with?
When I was growing up, my grandparents had old and very different toys for us to play with then what we had at home. My grandma let us play with her old doll buggy from when she was little. They also had a lot of the toys that my mom and her brothers played with when they were little.
As an aunt and great-aunt, I always want to have fun toys at my house for the kids to play with and enjoy but unique ones that they won’t or don’t have at home. I also want to give lasting gifts to them, so the toys will be treasured and passed down.
Here are my recommendations for the best wood toys for grandparents to give or have in their home for kids to play with:
1.A wood swing set: Backyard Discovery Springboro All Cedar Wood Playset Swing Set ($910 with free shipping)
2. A wood rocking horse: Happy Trails Rocking Haley Horse Ride On ($45)
3. A Pull Toy: The Very Hungry Caterpillar Wood Pull Toy ($22)

I have no grandchildren yet, but several of my children are of marriageable age. I know that I loved getting wooden toys for them when they were little. I don’t see that preference fading.
