Beam N Read Personal Light Review

November 27, 2012 By Shelley Zurek 431 Comments

Beam N Read –Craft, Read, and Work in the LIGHT

Beam N Read and the Chief Blonde

Beam N Read helps the Chief Blonde with her to-do list

still blondeThe Chief Blonde Remarks: We have previously reviewed the Beam N Read.  Today, 10 of you are going to be fortunate enough to have a shot to win one!  The model BNR LED 6-3 Beam N Read ® LED 6 Deluxe Hands Free Light  is Beam N Reads top of the line personal light.   Since my first review, I have discovered for the Beam N Read light over and above the standard uses of helping those of us who can no longer see in the dark with reading, crafting, and up close work.

Alternative Uses for the Beam and Read:

  • Kids adore the it.  They can use the magnifier for looking at bugs and all kinds of nasty kid stuff..UPClose! They also enjoy using the 6 very bright LED of the BNR LED 6-3 Beam N Read ® LED 6 Deluxe Hands Free Light in a tent or under the covers to play or read.
  • It’s an Energy Saver.  Turn off your other lights and focus this efficient little task light on your work.  Big energy savings!
  • Beam N Read appeals to parents who get woke up in the middle of the night by children.  They no longer have to turn on the bedroom light and wake their spouse, nor wake the other children when comforting a frightened child.  Just keep the Beam N  Read by the bed.
  • College Students LOVE Beam N Read.  College students can sit up late and study or read without disturbing their roommates.

These would be perfect for my mom- an avid knitter that is always in need of “better light”!

    Thanks!

I crochet and read alot. I would use them for both. I have such a hard time crocheting with dark colors because I can’t see the stitches. This would come in so handy.

oops – I didn’t say what I would use it for – sorry! I would use it outside in the evenings when I get on my laptop but it gets too dark to see the keyboard. This would be PERFECT for that!

I just finished crocheting my daughter a scarf in chenille and fuzz lol – can’t think of the name, it really does look like fuzz- and the fuzz was black and soooooooooo hard to work with since my eyes are older. This would have been an amazing help.

My daughter loves to read and since she is older than her 2 sisters that she shares a bedroom with she doesn’t get to read before bed very often because they are asleep with the lights out. She could definitely use this to read while laying in bed at night without disrupting her sisters sleep 🙂

I would use it while I crafted in the evening. The light in the room I use is not as bright as I sometimes need.

I need 5 or 6 of these. One for my husband’s shop for all that close work so I don’t have to go out in the cold and hold that flashlight. One for my sewing room, one for me to read at night with so I don’t disturb my husband, one for my son to read at night and in the car at night and one for my daughter. And maybe some more.
