I love my formal dining room. The furniture is very castle-like and grand. It’s probably a bit big for the room, in fact it would probably fit much better in a mansion dining hall rather than our small dining area but hey…it’s my chance to be queen, that’s why I bought it.
Now a grand dining table calls for grand eating flatware so when Argent Orfèvres, the stunning, high-end brand of tabletop goods, approached me to review their Paris Hammered Copper by Argent Orfèvres, I just couldn’t say no.
It was easy to choose this set, when I visited the Argent Orfèvres site. As you can see, it really is just the set for my grand table. The hammered copper sets the stage for my lovely table and kingly chairs.
What makes the Paris Hammered flatware so special? Well for one, it’s 18/0 Titanium-plated stainless steel and a lustrous copper color. This dinnerware is so durable that it has a 25 year warranty and if you’ve ever had flatware that breaks or stains or tarnishes, you know how important that is.
Another aspect I love is that the 20-piece set is dishwasher safe. After the queen has a grand dinner, she does NOT have time to be handwashing flatware!

I like the Skandia Annika 20 Piece Set because it’s easier to hold than some of the bulkier designs.
I like the Masquerade Hammered style in mirror finish stainless steel. It is classic enough for a formal meal but sturdy and simple enough for everyday use.
I like the Signature Totem best. It’s so unique, especially the roundness of the spoons. They look like they’ll be fun to eat with. The knife has a narrowness that is appealing too.

I think I like the Signature Melody 45 piece the most. It’s simple, classic, elegant and won’t clash with the design of my dinnerware! At the same time though, many of their designs are great and beautifully crafted. It was difficult to choose just this one.
I would love to have the Skandia flatware, it would go with my dishes I have in my kitchen
