Acting Discreet, Always Discreet! Exclusive Sample!

Discretion: the quality of behaving in such a way as to avoid revealing private information

Always DiscreetPracticing Discretion: Questions we all struggle with!

When you were younger (or even today), did you DIE when you had to purchase feminine care items? Did sneak these products on the shopping list so your mom or husband would have to buy them? If you had to buy them yourself, did you buy a massive cart full of other items, so no one would see? Did you pray that you wouldn’t run into a soul you knew, when you had “THAT ITEM” in the cart?

Well, it often feels the same when you are purchasing bladder protection products. Everyone seems to be walking with a hush though the aisle. Each person seems to want to find what they need, and get the heck out of there. It’s just so personal, definitely a situation that calls for some discretion. But these days, is a disguise really necessary?

Always Discreet bladder protection

Times are changing. You can be discreet and still be real!

When I first started talking about bladder leakage on my blog just a little over a year ago, other bloggers wouldn’t even retweet my tweets! I had several of them tell me “I don’t talk about THAT on my blog”. Now that brands, like Always Discreet, a discreet bladder protection product, have joined the conversation, the open discussion of bladder protection has become more acceptable. I have noticed that women bloggers and everyday women alike are much less hesitant to bring up the topic. Yes, most feel the topic still needs some discretion, but there is no need to disguise yourself in the grocery store or hide bladder protection products under a mass of groceries.

Always Discreet bladder protection

Bladder Protection is just another personal care item

Seriously, we all love to laugh, dance and celebrate, don’t we? And no matter what is going on with my body, I seriously would not want to stop any of those activities. Yet, laughing, dancing, and celebrating can serve as a trigger to those who need bladder protection. This is an issue when you use the newest line of bladder protection products from P&G Always:

  • Always Discreet Liners — Absorbs 2X more than you may need* (*based on average US consumer usage)
  • Always Discreet Pads–Up to 40% thinner* and absorbs 2X more than you may need**(*than the leading brand, **based on average US consumer usage)
  • Always Discreet Underwear

The Always Discreet Liners work great for me. They are ultra-thin and neutralize odors instantly and continuously. Being individually wrapped, Always Discreet liners give me that discretion I need when I carry them in my purse or pocket. I can even use the wrapping from a new one to wrap up an old one for discreet disposal.

I think bladder protection is a subject that is discussed openly nowadays, but if I suffered from LBL I would not discuss it openly. Thank you for sharing this post.

I am of an older generation than you Shelley, so I have seen this bladder protection subject come out in the open more and more. It seemed to be taboo unless a woman was talking to her obgyn. Now it is a fact of life and much more out in the open.

I don’t know about the older generation part Gail but you are so right about the openness and it is a very good thing with subject I think. The Chief Blonde

I haven’t really given it much thought but I would think my family and friends would think it is TMI and wouldn’t want me to bring up that subject.

From my experiences there is more talk about bladder protection than there used to be. I know when I was pregnant with my son (only 6 years ago) it was still a topic that was kept hush hush. As most people know when you are pregnant and as the pregnancy progresses there are times that you need added bladder protection due to the baby weight helping push out urine (I know gross but it happens!) so I made a point to keep light pads handy for road trips and times I knew I was going to be away from home for a while. I think now it’s more acceptable to speak of the unspeakable and I love that there are now commercials making it less of a taboo to use these types of products.

I feel since it is a much more well-known topic, it is much easier to discuss now.

I think the more that we understand it and realize that people have these issues, the more comfortable and sensitive we can be to others.
I also don’t care what I buy in front of others, not like I used to anyway.

I think it’s becoming a much more approachable topic. I buy the bladder control liners and all of my other feminine care items without embarrassment, but years ago I would hate putting them up at the register if there were people in line – especially a guy. I would still say people are iffy on the topic but companies are making it much easier by really bringing mainstream attention to these issues – they affect all ages, I’m 40 and not embarrassed.

I think its’ still discreet tho and most people don’t talk about it unless someone else brings it up and definitely not in mixed company!!!

I think it is more out in the open. I really think though it depends on the person. I’m very forthright and open with my friends and they are with me however, I do still see people that are shy even in general conversations.

Glad to see the commercials about it to help get people talking. Would like to see more public information so it doesn’t feel so taboo to others going through it.
