iSafe Backpack Review

August 21, 2011 By Shelley Zurek 127 Comments

Women over 45–Wouldn’t it be Great to have your own Bodyguard?

Isafe Collegiate laptop Bag

iSafe Collegiate Laptop Backpack (Msrp $ 79.98)

stillblonde3 smallChief Blonde Remarks:  Where to Start?  Where to Start?  The iSafe backpack (s) and bags are so incredible,  I just don’t know which feature to talk about first!  Well, first, it’s main feature is that whether you are a Women over 45 or just a concerned mom sending your child off to college, high school, middle school or elementary…this bag is like sending them to school with a bodyguard built right into their shoulder!    Everyone seems to love the fact that all you do is pull a pin and it starts wailing an alarm, I like that the alarm is easy!  Can you imagine trying to dial a number on a cell phone when an attacker is coming at you?  My kids have used Jansport backpacks for years which I consider to be the workhorse of backpacks–I think the iSafe backpack is  every bit as high of a quality, just as durable… BUT iSafe has a few features that I like even better than Jansport.  While the alarm is an obvious feature,  I was given the iSafe backpack Collegiate bag, and this baby has its design down pat– with adjustable everything, padded laptop sleeve, an audio headphone port and an organizer front zipper pocket. I adore this backpack on every level and I highly recommend it to one and all who utilize backpacks!

I think it’s brilliant because it provides an immediate response to danger. No digging in a bag or pocket for a phone, no waiting for the number to connect. I would be slightly worried about accidentally pulling the alarm pin, though! 🙂

Some of you headers above are hard to read because they have a dark background. I like a white background.

The thing that most stuck out to me was how easy it was to pull the alarm cord. This could be good and bad. I can see other kids pulling this just to pick on the one who has it.

It takes longer to dial a phone than to pull a cord. That sticks with me because it’s very true. I only worry that some people may ignore the noise, the way car alarms are ignored. It’s still a fantastic idea and totally worth a shot!
