Snacks Make up 20% of your Diet

Van’s Natural Food Snacks Keep it Healthy

The Chief Blonde’s cheese tray features Van’s Natural Foods Baked Crackers in “Fire Roasted Veggie” and “The Perfect 10” flavors ($3.29).

still blondeThe Chief Blonde Remarks:

Van’s recently sent me a nice selection of Van’s Natural Foods products to try. Van’s makes foods for breakfast but they also have snack foods as well such as crackers and snack bars.  I love that they never use artificial flavors or artificial sweeteners.  I really try to eat only whole grains and Van’s Natural Foods are packed with them.

Did you know a recent study by NPD group, has shown that 20% of an American’s diet is now composed of snacks?  Wouldn’t it be better to reach for the healthier options?  That’s what I do and that’s why I enjoyed Van’s.  You can use Van’s Natural Foods products for gluten-free entertaining, in your lunch, and in you baking as well.

Here’s what I sampled from Van’s Natural Foods and my thoughts on each.

Van’s Natural Foods Baked Crackers

I tried Van’s Say Cheese! Multi-Packs ($3.99), The Perfect 10 Crackers ($3.29) and the Fire Roasted Veggie Crackers ($3.29).  I must say that I kept the Say Cheese Multi-Packs all for myself, eating one a day.  They were the perfect size for snacking and I loved the cheesy taste.  With the Perfect 10 Crackers and Fire Roasted Veggie crackers I served those on a cheese tray at a recent party for my niece (See the picture at top).  Both varieties were gone in a flash, as were the refills.  Gluten-free snacking at a party meets everyone needs!

Van’s Natural Foods Cinnamon Heaven Cereal

Cinnamon Heaven Cereal  is another of Van’s products that I hid for myself after trying the first handful.  I must admit, I never ate it as a breakfast cereal.  I would just munch on a bit every day as a treat for myself.  Yum!  Highly recommend!

Van’s Natural Foods Cranberry Almond Snack Bars

I couldn’t try these as I am allergic to nuts so I did what I always do in this case…I got Walt to try them.  He raved.  Walt said one of the things he liked best about Van’s Cranberry Almond Bars were that they were a different flavor and not the same old granola bar flavors you can find everywhere. My only impression is that they were quite small compared to the picture on the packaging.  Walt said they were some of the best granola bars he has eaten and would recommend I buy them again.

Can’t Wait to Win it?

Head over to Van’s Natural Foods Store Locator and find out where you can buy all their products.

You can find many of their products at Wal-mart, Safeway and Sprouts stores.
