stillblonde3 small THE CHIEF BLONDE REMARKS:  Oh my goodness the Wholly Wholesome line of products is so impressive.  We made the Oatmeal Raisen Cookies–I thought my head would spin around waiting for those darn cookies to come out of the oven!  Do you know when a cookie is a really good cookie?  I do, I am a dessert snob.  My mom can make desserts like no one else on this earth, especially cookies and pies…so HONEY…I know my cookies.

What Makes  a really good Cookie according to the Chief Blonde?

1)  The dough tastes good.  I can tell you right here and right now–if the dough doesn’t taste good, neither does the cookie.

2)  The ingredients are not  skimped on–the right stuff is inside.  Cruddy ingredients make a cruddy cookie..PERIOD.

3) When it comes out of the oven, the aroma should knock you over.

4)  That warm cookie should taste like heaven.  The cooled off cookie should still be moist and flavorful.

The Wholly Wholesome Oatmeal Raisin Cookies that I tried fit all of these elements, to a Tee!  Wowza.   The dough was amazing.  If I would have been in a depressive state, well, I would have eaten them all without even cooking them.  Yup.. great dough!  One of the things I like best about Wholly Wholesome is their commitment to great ingredients. These are all baked goods with no artificial additives, colors, preservatives, or flavors. Also, they leave out the hydrogenated oils and fats.   You won’t find any synthetic sweeteners or bleached flours either.  The Oatmeal Cookies came out of the oven smelling like that wonderful blend of cinnamon, raisins and oats…OH MY Goodness..it is a breathtaking smell.  Reminds me of when I used to come home from school and my mom was pulling cookies out of the oven…Wowza!  And the taste…well that delivered too.  It tasted very very homemade, not like some refrigerated sweet cardboard..but just like Mommy or Grandma makes…no REALLY!  Wholly Wholesome Oatmeal cookies get a BIG YUM from the Chief Blonde!
