Did my Life get too Cluttered?
Blog Note: I have severely disappointed one of my readers, maybe more and I am sorry. I started this declutter challenge back in Jan., 2011. We had 3 months worth of prizes added to the pile and a nice group of readers jumped on board and participated enthusiastically. Then my life took over (one kid graduating high school out of state plus open house, one graduating college, sick mom, another kid moved out, high school senior went to college, 2 kids got licences, a wedding, a bridal shower, yada-yada-yada! ) Anywho, I let the ball drop on this and I am sorry! Especially to my dear reader who is upset with me. But the challenge isn’t ruined yet…we have this month to get caught up!
So Let’s Catch up!
Anyway the deal was, you were supposed to declutter one item everyday for 365 days. Then you were supposed to give your input every month into how you were doing as your entry and I would add a prize to the pile each month. You guys did an awesome job of commenting in the first three months.

my daughter sam causes most of the clutter, i can blame the mailman for the rest…
piles of paper
Thanks for the contest.
my favorite decluttering tip is baskets, of all shapes and sizes in each room of the house!by the front door, in the living room, the kitchen and on the steps going upstairs..
I motivate myself by needing to find things and getting tired of the mess that the dogs make.

the clutter hot spot in my house is the dresser by the front door, it gets all the mail, the backpacks, the packages that come in, sunglasses, gloves, keys, etc.
File drawers and plastic storage bins help.

I blame myself (and the dogs) for my part of the clutter, but, living with 2 OCD collectors doesn’t help.

my biggest decluttering challenge this year has been my daughter’s closet, it is a walk in that you could not walk in at all..she just kept throwing stuff in and closing the door…
Decluttering tip…plan a move. (just kidding). Don’t let things stack up.

Good one linda! The Chief Blonde
My biggest clutter hotspot is the table next to where I sit. Why? I put my computer, mail, magazines, newspapers, etc on it. The crazy dogs come along and climb on it or run across it and everything goes flying. So, when I pick it back up again it is now a jumbled mess. Even if there is one thing on the table, they will knock it off.

My biggest challenge is just finding the energy to do it.

I am completely unmotivated but I know that if I don’t declutter now when I go to unpack I will wish I had.
I use an old milk crate to store all of the dogs toys.
Am I allowed to blame the dogs? Probably not so I have to say me.
If you can’t remember why you are keeping it throw it away.
The old library. I have stuff all over the shelves and piled high on the desk. It just became my catch all spot kind of like a black hole only it doesn’t disappear it just stays there.
That would be my packing challenge. Yep in under a month I have to have de-cluttered and packed the entire house.
no but I should have ;.)
My favorite decluttering tip is sort into piles…keep, trash, donate.
I had to get rid of a ton of things to make room for baby #4, but i don’t know if it was 365 things
