Bake Me A Wish Bakery Combo

April 14, 2014 By Shelley Zurek 323 Comments

Can you say Cake + Brownies?

Bake Me A wish Cake and Brownie ComboBake Me a Wish Bakery Combo — Choice of Classic Cake + 1 Dozen Gourmet Brownies ($75)

From the MOMENT I received my review sample from Bake Me A Wish Bakery,

Bake Me A Wish UnBoxing Collage

UnBoxing is FUN with Bake Me A Wish!

until I laid the cake and cookies out for my family and friends to eat:

Bake Me A Wish Ready to Eat Collage

the excitement and anticipation just didn’t end…

still blonde after all these YEARSThe Chief Blonde Remarks: As you may know, I have previously reviewed Bake Me a Wish! On that occasion, I tried their cookies and Freedom Cake. I hope you will go over and read the review, because the Freedom Cake is very very special, especially if you have a loved one in the military.

For this review, it was time to try another Bakery Combo! This time it was the Lava Cakes and Brownies. MMMM…Brownies. The 12 Brownies I received were delectable. I served them to my friends at a card party. We had six different flavors to try (2 each), including Velvet Ganache Chocolate, Cheesecake, Peanut Butter Crunch, Fudge Walnut, Orange Macadamia and Raspberry Crumb! The crowd agreed they liked the Velvet Ganache and the Raspberry Crumb the best, although seconds were tried of the other flavors too. The brownies were rich and dense just like a gourmet product should be.

I took the Lava Cakes to my parents because my mom and dad LOVE cake with ice cream. If you have never had a lava cake before, you really must try Bake Me A Wish’s version. You heat the cake up before serving, and when you cut into the cake with your fork, hot fudge comes pouring out of the cake (just like LAVA!). OMGoodness… I am not sure anyone breathed while we were snarfing this down.

I would highly recommend Bake Me a Wish’s Bakery combos. They are a perfect thing to order for a loved one who is far from home. The combo allows them to have a cake and then have another goodie for later. It’s really one of those gifts that keeps on giving, and who doesn’t like that?

A bit more about Bake Me A Wish

The Company Says:

Bake Me a Wish! started as the nationwide service for delivery of gourmet birthday cakes. Our cakes are made with only the finest, freshest ingredients by an award-winning family run New York bakery that also supplies pastries to some of Manhattan’s most elite restaurants. We then added other gourmet bakery items – cookie and brownies – along with an exceptional selection of gift baskets (launching holiday 2012).

We are happy to bring you our delicious gourmet gifts at an extremely affordable price. Now, whether it’s your son in college, your trusted associate, your old friend, or your granddaughter across the country, you will always have a simple and wonderful way to remember them on the one day each year that belongs to them – their birthday.

I loved the sound of all the various goodies, but the Lava Cake and the variety of brownies sounded the best to me.

I love all cakes, but if i had to choose one, and this is VERY difficult, I’d probably have to go with the Strawberry Shortcake. After that it would be the German Chocolate cake.

I would order the German Chocolate Cake for $39.95. The reason I chose the German Chocolate is because it my Boyfriends favorite and Fathers Day is coming in June!

I can’t decide!! They all look so delicious!! I am going to pick either the Carrot Cake or German Chocolate Cake, both of which are my hubbies favs. I would ask him which one he wants for our 23 wedding anniversary if I win. Thanks!
