The Chief Blonde is wearing a Chasensully Silk Tunic ($240), American Eagle Leggings, Mountain Khaki Americana Jacket ($155), Seychelles Rita shoes (bought on ebay).
A 90s trend that is emerging is Shirts tied around the waist. Didn’t really think I’d live to see THAT again. Without realizing it, As a fashion forward diva, I executed the trend back in September, well ahead of Jessica Alba or Kayne West. But hey…we blondes are like that.

Just have to get me a pair of those jean shorts…
Samsung Galaxy Note 3
I recently received the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to test out for Verizon. First impressions? It’s a LOT bigger than my old “dumb” phone, that’s a good thing. I find the keyboard functions much easier than my Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX HD. I have so much to learn about the Note 3, but right out of the box I was navigating it…I truly think this is a phone that Women over 45 and tech heads like my son can equally embrace. More to come!

Does this mean the old flannel shirts are back too? I did this in the 90s as a ‘metalhead’ or a ‘dirt rocker’ lol It was a great trend and I’d love to see it again! It was convenient too!
I did this a lot in the 90’s is it making a comeback?
I’ve worn a shirt or jacket tied around my waist, not for the sake of fashion, but just to have my hands free.
I tie my shirts around my waist a lot!! If I take off a jacket or long sleeved shirt while I’m out and about, I would much rather tie it around my waist then have to carry it around all day!
Funny- my kidlet has been wearing her shirt tied around her waist. Future fashionista!
This was a trend that was big when my daughter was going to school. I admit I’ve even done it myself in the past and see the use for it. It’s convenient for me to tie a jacket around my waist when not wanting to wear it, but I don’t think of it as a fashion piece more just a convenience so I don’t have to carry it.
I am a fan of the tied around the waist look. So many ways to go. It is so practical, too.
I LOVE EVERY OUTFIT I JUST SAW THEY ARE ALL BEAUTIFIUL BLESSED BE
thaks for all the valuable info i love the shirts and sweaters tied at the hips reminds mre of 90s
It’s like history with style repeats itself. Just like shirts being tied around the waist, the bell bottoms had came back and the wild hairstyles! I love it!
This is a trend I won’t be reliving LOL!
You look cute with your shirt tied around your waist. I would look homeless ;-P

I seriously can’t believe how in the 90s is again… I feel like I was just wearing these trends when it actually was the 90s!
Shelley I really want that tunic! I use to tie my shirts around my waist but haven’t in awhile I think I will again. 🙂
Thanks on Tunic Whitney! Shelley
I love the tied shirt look….never went away in my book xxxx
I have never been a fan of the shirt tied around the waist thing. I think it looks goofy and I sure never thought of it as a fashion statement, but then I have never really cared about what is or is not “in fashion”. I like clothes that are modest, clean, and other than that, it is up to the individual (as is obvious when watching what people wear!). I hate to see shorts & skirts so short, and blouses so low, some people may as well just wear a belt!
I agree on the immodest clothing Judy! (that’s why I made the crack about the shorts) The Chief Blonde
