I like that the book emphasizes on Authentic Mexican sauces. I want to learn to make authentic salsa, I can never get mine to taste like the salsa at authentic Mexican restaurants.

I like that they are simple recipes. Mexican is my favorite but every time I try to cook it at home it just doesn’t taste as good.

I love that it features 128 authentic Mexican recipes from classic tacos and tamales to dishes like Braised Short Ribs Adobo and Red Snapper Papillotes in Green Mole. They all sound so yummy!!

I love that it’s authentic Mexican food not the American versions of Mexican recipies! And Mexican can be really hard for non-Mexicans to cook (I’ve tried and failed many times) so I like how it breaks it down and seems to make it a little easier!

My favorite aspect of the book is that it Includes a useful Sources section to help readers track down authentic Mexican ingredients

I have been looking for a good recipe to finally make mole poblano without resorting to Doña Maria sauce. Having a section on sauces might inspire me to make my own.

I learned the key is the flavors not the cooking that are complex.

Hi! I like that the book is an introduction or beginner’s guide to Mexican cooking. It’s neat that they cover the main aspects of a Mexican menu too. Thanks!!

It focuses on sauces, and even better, has ideas for a number of different kinds of guacamole.

I love that there are five commandments of Mexican cooking included – and that he says he’ll also list his best suggestion for a substitute first. Even in San Diego, sometimes it’s tough to find the exact right ingredients.

Love that it is hard cover so it’s durable. Also love that the recipes use authentic ingredients AND they tell you where to find them. Last, the recipes are easy to follow.
