Help college graduates find jobs

Today’s discussion on “Help your College Grad find a Job Faster” is brought to you by Fifth Third Bank.

Help college Graduates find jobs

Oh my goodness! Did you know that half of today’s college graduates do not have jobs? I have four children as you know, aged 22, 24, 25 and 26! They are all at various points in their college, graduate studies or post college lives. And I worry…

Help college Graduates find jobs

Don’t you worry if your kids will find jobs,

I was surprised to find out at least two hundred people apply for every job opening, while only 2% actually get interviewed*. Where would my kids find these jobs anyway? According to NextJob.com, 50% of jobs aren’t even posted online! That’s a shocking statistic.

Job Seekers just need a good map! Get Free Job Search Coaching.

According to NextJob.com, people are nearly three times more likely to get a job with job search help than without it. That would be just the map my kids would need.

What is Job Search Coaching? A good map. Here is some help for graduates to find that map!

My Grandson will be going part time to a college for Management and how to act in a restaurant position. He is already working at a nice restaurant since day 1 of opening. He caught on fast and all the customers love him. He always has a big smile for everyone. He now manages the restaurant and is the head server and does whatever else he has to do. He was going to be a chef but changed his mind and wants to own his own restaurant someday. so he needs some college courses to do this. He has a lot of hands on experience which will be very Helpful to him.

I feel for kids graduating college. The world has changed since I graduated, and it can be difficult to find a job. I also think that it is becoming more common that people entering the workforce, may have to start on the ground level, or even below. However, I do believe that anyone can move up the ladder, with handwork, diligence, and dedication.

These are good suggestions. It is tough out there when all the kids get out of school at the same time looking for jobs.

I have a doctorate and two masters degrees. I can’t find work that even covers minimum monthly payments of my school loans if every penny earned went

Scary but realistic. Grads…adults….all of us often have trouble navigating the career/job world. They get out of school without knowing how to look for a job, write a resume, interview….This would be a big help to so many.

What a wonderful prize for a graduate looking for a job. None of my nieces and nephews are that old yet. It’s hard for me to think of them ever being that old, actually.

Wow that statistic is scary!! I do remember thinking to myself in college how scared I was that all of these fellow students would be graduating with me and wanting to do the same things as me!! Totally freaked me out and made me worry about my future!! I ended up going a different path with my life and I am a stay at home mom at the moment but it is good to know there are programs out there to help grads find work!

I like how you talk about searching for the “right” job and using a job “map.” Students, adults, everyone sometimes need help and guidance. It’s hard and there are many options out there. It’s easy for students to get confused in how to find jobs. I didn’t realize that most aren’t even online. Wow!

Doing a job search for the first time can be so difficult! Having a roadmap is a great thing to give a job seeker direction!

That’s crazy to think about hundreds of applicants for a single job! Job coaching would definitely give someone the advantage to getting a job.
