Wonder what a Blogger Does at Blogher for 4 Nights and 5 days?

Blogher 13 Sample Schedule will be very much like my Blogher12 Schedule below!  What is Blogher?  Blogher is the largest convention of bloggers each year.  For 2012,  Blogher 12 was held in NYC, with 5000+ bloggers in attendance, Blogher’13 will be held in Chicago, July 25-27, 2013.

Wednesday Aug. 1–DRIVE TO BLOGHER12

2:00 am Finish Packing
2:01 am Fall Asleep
4:30 am Get up, Get Ready. Wake son and girlfriend up
5:00am Leave to drive to Blogher12 (estimate arrival in NYC 4:00PM)
2:00PM Get a flat tire on I-80
2:30PM After trying to change flat tire ourselves, call AAA
2:35PM Policeman arrives to set-up flares, run our registration, and hollers at us for calling AAA instead of 911
3:00PM AAA towing shows up,  guy beats spare tire endlessly with rock..He can’t fix it either
3:30PM Get towed to Shop in the middle of Milton, PA..Shop personnel very nice but Chief Blonde is FREAKING OUT!
4:30PM Finally back on road (hmmm, I don’t think we are in NYC yet)
6:30PM  Mom Central Party Starts …Chief Blonde still at Lincoln Tunnel
7:00PM Chief Blonde and travel crew clear Lincoln tunnel
7:15PM  Trying to turn on 42nd street
7:30PM Still trying to turn on 42nd street
7:35PM We have now went approximately NOWhere…Chief Blonde so late for Mom Central Party
8:30PM  Finally checked into Hilton NYC Ave of the Americas, daughter met us at entrance (big Hugs and smiles), then to  room (Fantastic corner room!) , clothes changed and walking to subway.  Thank goodness my daughter who stayed in the city this summer walked me to my subway station!
9:00PM Finally make Mom Central Party at the Thomson Hotel Thom Bar, meet entire Mom Central team.  Meet some Fashionistas.  Meet some Company Reps (3M and Scotch Tape).  RELAX!
9:30PM Mom Central kicks us out (nicely).  Go join daughter, son and his girlfriend for Sushi!
11:30PM Unpack and Hit the HAY!

Thursday Aug. 2–THE CHIEF BLONDE IS IN THE HOUSE AT BLOGHER 2012

6:30AM Get up, get ready! We Blondes like to start things EARLY!
8:00AM SheHeard Brands We Love Affair Breakfast at the London Hotel (Near Hilton).  Met Jen (Makobi Scribe) for first time after a year+ of digital interaction!
8:30AM Head back to Hilton and answer emails
10:00 am–2:00PM Head to Beacon’s Closet (Resale Store) in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NYC with daughter, son and his girlfriend
2:00PM Pick up Blogher Badges at the Hilton
2:00-3:00PM get ready for Evening Parties and check emails
3:00-5:00PM My daughter and I go to Iconix Brands event at the Sheraton
5:15 PM Head over to the London Hotel (near Hilton)  to attend Cabi StyleSuite in the Penthouse Suite.  Hotel staff accidently sent me to the wrong suite–Hallmark Suite!  End up meeting my good blogger friend Simply Stacie in the Suite and having a lovely conversation with Hallmark!
5:30-7:30PM Arrive Penthouse Suite CAbi StyleSuite, sponsored by CAbi   hosted by Savvy Sassy Moms and Mom Trends at the London Hotel. Get makeup done by Makeup Forever.
7:30-8:15PM Evening at the Expo (Blogher12 event where brands have booths set up in the Expo hall)
8-11PM  The People Party (Blogher Party)
11:30–12:30PM  Emails and BED!

Sunday, August 5, 2012– Leaving Blogher12 in a MINIVAN!

9:00 AM–11:30AM Get up, PACK, eat Starbucks, head to Lobby and pick up Rivet and Sway Glasses (see my Rivet and Sway Review) , Head up to 66th Street, pickup my Daughter, head home!

Blogher Note:  You will note my schedule is sadly lacking in Blogher Sessions.  I do regret not going to the one panel on Midlife blogging.  Other than that, I had decided ahead of time to catch what sessions I could..but my main goal was to meet other bloggers, network with brands, have fun with my kids, and enjoy myself.  I most certainly did accomplish all my goals and then some.  What a fantastic time!  Blogher 13 here I come!
