I remember when I was a little kid, my grandma had a Ripley’s Believe it or Not Book. I would spend hours with my brother, just pouring over the book and looking at the black and white illustrations. It was so fantastic, like a 1940s comic book! Fast Forward to 2011, here I am again, pouring over the 2011 version of the Ripley’s Believe it or Not 2011 Annual: Enter if you Dare! While still the same crazy, mixed up, all over the page format, this edition is printed on top quality coffee table high gloss stock in an oversized edition and the color is so in your face–you almost need sunglasses. As usual, I can’t help but pause and stare at Tiny Iron who sports Monster arms, or the Mice Kebab from Malawi (really yucky), or Leandro Granato, an artist from Argentina who paints using his eye as a paintbrush (you really need to see the picture for this one!)
