Shop Early for the Holidays, Avoid Layaway Regret

What is Lawaway Regret?
You have heard of “buyer’s remorse?” It is the sense of regret a buyer experiences after having made a purchase. It is frequently associated with the purchase of an expensive item such as a car or house. “Layaway Regret” is the opposite of much more common condition “buyer’s remorse”. Many have experienced symptoms of general discomfort, mental anguish and a longing feeling–wishing they had made a purchase or secured the item but they didn’t.
The main cause of ‘Layaway Regret’, according to the experts, is excuses.
Excuse #1: Layaway seems like too much effort.
Debunked: Not true, not at all. At Kmart, Layaway is not hard work. No matter how many items you have, almost anything can be placed into Layaway, without paying a service fee through 11/23. Making your layaway payments are easy as well. Payment can be made online, from your phone or you can pay in store. Eight or 12 weeks later (depending on your contract) pick up your items and your holiday shopping is done!
Bonus: After you figure out how easy it is, you can Layaway all year round at Kmart!
Excuse #2: I don’t have time during the holiday season to Layaway.
Debunked: Plan now with Layaway, get your holiday shopping done early, pay for it over time and have it just in time for gift giving! Just determine what your family and friends need or want this year and start laying away. Beat the the rush because you will be able to get the hottest toys and electronics locked away before everyone else, if you layaway now!
Bonus: You can relax over the holidays and avoid crazy lines!
Excuse #3: I’m not a ShopYourWay Member.
Debunked: That’s hardly an excuse since signing up for the Sears and Kmart rewards program, ShopYourWay only takes a few minutes (http://www.shopyourway.com/). Now being a ShopYourWay Rewards Member is not required to use Kmart Layaway, but you will come out ahead if you are. ShopYourWay Members accrue points each time they make a purchase. These points can then be redeemed the next time you shop. I am always amazed at how many bonus points they email me. I just got one today for 5000 points ($5 off)! Members also have access to secret sales and extra discounts which helps you stay close to your holiday budget. If you’re opening a Layaway contract as a ShopYourWay Member, we’ll also waive your minimum purchase fee through 9/21.
Now that your excuses have been dismissed, you have no reason to suffer from ‘Layaway Regret’. It’s time to make your list, check it twice and make a Layaway that’s really nice!
