Did you know that Garden Ranch and Barbecue could taste this good?

Green Giant Veggie Chips K

still Blonde after all these YEARSThe Chief Blonde Remarks: There is a new chip in town from Green Giant™, with two incredible flavors–Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chip Garden Ranch and  Multigrain Sweet Potato Chip – Barbecue.  What I’d like to know is what took them so long?  With 40% less fat than regular potato chips and only 120 calories per serving, I have to say Green Giant is doing Green Giant Veggie Snacks right!

Paired Up

First I tried the Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chip Garden Ranch,  I paired it with this awesome Veggie Filled Taco Salad Bowl.

Green Giant Veggie Snacks

The coolness of the Garden Ranch chip perfectly offset the spiciness of the salsa and taco meat.  The  strong veggie taste of the chips served as a wonderful accompaniment  to this taco salad that was packed with spinach, romaine lettuce, avocado, cucumber, taco meat, salsa, and cheese all in a whole wheat tortilla taco bowl.  This chip is perfect for pairing with other foods packed with vegetables. For me, it’s like layering flavor on top of flavor.

All Alone

Sometimes chips are just about snacking, having something salty (sweets just aren’t my thing) and enjoying that snack all by itself!  Green Giant Multigrain Sweet Potato Chip – Barbecue flavor is just such a chip.  These babies are made with real sweet potatoes and you can just feel that taste oozing from it.  Coated in a wonderful barbecue flavoring (you know, the kind you lick from you fingers in pure joy!)  These chips can truly fool you into thinking you are eating their much higher calorie cousin!

With four children and a hungry husband, sometimes I like to sneak off by myself and just eat Green Giant Veggie Snacks right out of the bag!

Enjoying Green Giant Veggie Chips

The Chief Blonde’s 3 Top Healthy Snacking Tips:

  1. Pair your snacks with vegetables and fruit, for balanced snacking
  2. Some chips taste great all alone and don’t even need fancy calorie laden dips
  3. When choosing snacks consider lower calorie, lower fat alternatives like Green Giant Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chip Garden Ranch and Green Giant Multigrain Sweet Potato Chip – Barbecue
