Rafflecopter DATA helps Public Relations Firms Jusitify Giveaways on Blogs
USE YOUR RAFFLECOPETR DATA WISELY
Rafflecopter Data can be your friend! When letting your Sponsor know the winners of your Rafflecopter giveaway, many bloggers just remind the sponsor of their obligations and where to ship the winner the prize they won.
HOLD ON! Why not use your Rafflecopter Data to show PR companies what you, as a blog and blogger, did for them and the company they represent! This is a great way to endear yourself to them. USE YOUR RAFFLECOPTER DATA TO REPORT GREAT FACTS derived from the Rafflecopter Data List data list and then use your social icon info to supplement:
Our entries indicate 750 people entered your giveway that we achieved 55 (Fig. 5) new fans for xxx on Facebook and 55 (fig.5) new fans on Twitter. The Giveaway was tweeted 102 times (Fig. 6), Shared on FB 102 times (Fig. 6) , and liked on Facebook 53 times (Fig. 6). There were 93 comments in the comment section on my post that detailed what aspects the fans liked about xxxx.
So how did I come up with that Data? Can’t you imagine PR firms just being estatic with this data? Okay, here goes. I’ll show you how it’s done.

Sign into Rafflecopter. Go to “Your Giveaways” tab. Choose the Giveaway that you want to get Data from, and click “Moderate”. (Fig. 1)

Choose “Show List” on the Moderate Entries Page (Fig. 2)

On the “List”, You will see a box that says Options.
Fig. 4 Sort for the Option
If you want to find out a certain piece of Data, type it into the “Option” box. In Fig. 4, above I typed in (or you can “Copy” and Crt V to paste in the entry) “Like” stillblondeaferalltheseyears on Facebook. You can now see all the entries for that response. How many are there?
Fig. 5 Response count
Look in the lower right hand portion of the page and you will see the number of responses to the query “Like” stillblondeaferalltheseyears on Facebook”. 55! Gather other data from the Rafflecopter form in a similar manner.

You can also find other relevant data to report to Public Relation firms via your social Icons. I have a tool which is called Sharebar, which is a plug-in for WordPress. It appends off the left side of my blog and provides a lot of goodies that Public Relations firms and Companies would love to know. You can see the Sharebar on Still Blonde after all these YEARS. From the Sharebar I can provide data like Facebook Shares and Likes, Tweets, Stumbles, and Google +1. Tell me that Companies and PR firms won’t love this Data! It helps them to validate the Value of blog giveaways and reviews!
What do you think? Was this helpful to you? Will it help you provide better data to Companies and PR firms?
Was this Post helpful to you? Could you Stumble, tweet or share it so others can benefit? And me too? Thanks!

GREAT idea – thanks so much for sharing this!
What a neat tip to know! I don’t get as many people entering as you and Simply Stacie do – but wow it’s really neat to see who really likes you! LOL

I also noticed you can group by entry method and get a number that way. The script keeps locking up my Mac though – not sure what that’s all about.
This is very helpful- thank you!
Incredibly helpful and incitful post! Stumbling, Liking, +1, etc!!!
Genius post. Stumbling it for you.
I stumbled this post. The only thing I’ve noticed is that when I sort options by entry type on Rafflecopter, it will spread them out over several pages. So I still have to go through each page and add them all together.
Thanks, I understand what you mean. I will take a look at that and update my post based on that input! The Chief Blonde
I hope PR firms do not ask my opinion because I think it is a disaster for them. With the ease of rafflecopter the entries have soared. The ease of rafflecopter has enabled bloggers to enter without even reading the review, never go to fb or twitter, they barely see the sponsor or the merchandise.
Because of the SUDDEN increase in entries, I can not help but think rafflecopter has brought out the cheaters in droves.
I am surprised that bloggers using rafflecopter have not noticed this or maybe quantity is worth more then quality.
This is a good point, but people were entering giveaways without reading the review even before RC came along. Their platform makes it much easier to catch the real cheaters–the people who enter multiple times from the same IP address, etc. While I don’t like that people don’t have to visit FB and Twitter, it’s still more convenient and so much better than people entering through the comment form.
I haven’t noticed any more cheating with Rafflecopter, and I moderate all entries and check IP addresses before picking a winner.
Also, it hasn’t changed the way I read reviews or interact with companies either. Whether I’m copying and pasting “I like the sponsor on Facebook” or hitting the “like” button through the Rafflecopter form, I am still learning about and interacting with the companies.
Fabulous information! I knew how to do some of this (not all though!) but DUH, never thought of sharing with the sponsor how far the reach was! (Who is blonde? Me?) 😉
Thanks so much!!
Excellent idea! 🙂
Can you please tell me how to drop Rafflecopter into a post? Thanks Debbie
Debbie, If you go to the Rafflecopter site, generate your giveaway, then at the bottom it says get the widget…do you see that code? If you are on blogger, I don’t exactly know how to drop it in but if you go into the fb group and ask Ellen, she can tell you EXACTLY what to do. Don’t worry, we’ll walk you through it so that if you want to use Rafflecopter for this giveaway event you can!
tweeted for you. interesting article on how bloggers & PR firms work.
Great idea!!!
This is brilliant! So long story short I am a giveaway junkie and I love Rafflecopter because it makes entering giveaways so much easier and way less time consuming. Lately I have been hearing about some bloggers complaining about less page views and Ive even seen a few go back to the comment method for just that reason which made me sad but then I saw this in my email this morning and it renews my hope that the bloggers with concerns will see that they can use the Rafflecopter to help them show sponsors exact figures. Then maybe they will go back to using it as opposed to the hugely time consuming comment method.
Thanks for this!
LOVE IT!
Thanks so much for posting this! I’m going to inform my sponsors from now on 🙂
great idea! I’m pretty new so this is great info!
Thanks!
