Women over 45, Learn a Foreign Language through Singing!
Sing2Learn combines three innovative methods to make learning easy, fun, and interesting: Sing2Learn, Sing2Pattern, and Sing2Picture. Sing2Learn uses singing to make the learning process fun and easy. Learners mimic what they hear with very little stress or mental processing. Sing2Pattern allows learners to create hundreds of sentences from simple sentence patterns and syllable patterns. Sing2imageture uses the power of visualization to enhance learners’ memorization skills through visually stimulating graphics. All of the songs are 100% original and they emphasize simplicity, clarity, and a comfortable pace for easy learning, and are creative — which makes it fun and easy to learn.

Sing2Learn is just what it says. You are learning while you are singing. Now we all know how we remember the most trivial songs, tv jingles, and radio ads that are set to music. I’ll bet you can still sing the Big Mac song–“2 all Beef Patties…” or how about the Brady Bunch theme “Here’s the story, of a lovely Lady,….”. So you can certainly see why the Sing2Learn concept was very interesting to me when I first viewed it at the CES.
Christopher Boyd Brewer in his book Music and Learning says that music can help us learn because it will–
- establish a positive learning state
- create a desired atmosphere
- build a sense of anticipation
- energize learning activities
- change brain wave states
- focus concentration
- increase attention
- improve memory
- facilitate a multisensory learning experience
- release tension
- enhance imagination
- align groups
- develop rapport
- provide inspiration and motivation
- add an element of fun
- accentuate theme-oriented units
When you couple your knowledge of how music that you have learned has STUCK with you through the years with clear research on the Music and learning concepts–who can argue that a child or a Women over 45 can learn a foreign language or at the very least the common phrases with Sing2Learn?!
