You can see all my other reviews here ( ) . The Sweet Revenge kit contains 3 of my favorite Skin Authority Items which I use DAILY!! (the cleanser, the hydrator, and the resurfacing accelerator). I use mineral make-up so the Skin Authority Daily Cleanser really gets the make-up off of my skin, whereas water or soap/water will not, but the Daily Cleanser is gentle so I don’t end up looking like a prune. I use the Skin Authority Tri-Power Peptide Hydrator each day before applying my makeup (if I remember). I like to use it under my makeup to keep a “Dewy” look. Probably, my favorite Skin Authority product is the Resurfacing Accelerator. I am a Women over 45 and menopausal. This product helps me with all those lines and wrinkles and keeps my skin looking bright…it stings a bit when you first begin to use it..but that means its working. I found this product really helped with my rosacea–a condition where skin takes on a red tone and often acne-like break outs occur. Chief Blonde Remarks: I have always adored Lolita Designs Wine Glasses. I had a Frosted Snowman glass from her collection from several years back called “Frosty’s Party”. I use this glass perhaps twice a week for my nightly glass of red wine (which I drink for strictly medicinal menopause purposes)! The Chief Blonde Remarks: I have tried Mineral Makeup, in fact, I have used a competitor to Pur Minerals for a number of years now. I have also had the opportunity to review several other Mineral Makeups. I was excited to try Pur Minerals to see how it stacked up! I sure wasn’t disappointed! Here’s some elements I liked VERY MUCH about Pur Minerals compared to the other BIG NAME Mineral makeup.

First: Pur Mineral’s packaging is far superior. With the other brand, the number one complaint that I have read that the makeup gets everywhere..and it is so so true. My car, my makeup bag and my bathroom all suffer from the makeup Mineral dust EVERYWHERE! With Pur Minerals, the packaging and formulation of the foundation seems to address this very prevalent Mineral makeup issue and the makeup seems to end up where it is supposed to…which is on the application brush and my face!

Second: I adore the the Pur Minerals Correcting Primer!!! You won’t find this product in the beginner kit of the other Big Mineral Makeup. As a woman over 45, I can tell you that the Correcting Primer is “da bomb”! It balances your skin tone and seems to reduce the look of your pores…a huge problem as women age! I am sold on the primer and will continue to use it in the future!

Third: Pur Minerals Makeup isn’t smelly. I simply cannot stand when makeup is perfumed…this is not.

Fourth: The foundation color was appropriate! I am as fair as a person can be without being translucent (or so it feels like). So I have often found that when a makeup says Fair or Light…it’s still NOT light enough! But guess what, Pur Minerals has a Porcelain Color which worked perfectly with my skin tone! And they seem to have a wide array of colors that will work with yours too!

How do you Apply Mineral Makeup?

Now, I can sit here trying to tell you about how great the Journey Gym is for circuit training and how it is capable of transforming where and when you work out, as you will always have a gym with you…but why don’t I let you watch this two minute video give you the details. It will answer every question and doubt you may have. Go ahead…I’ll work out on my Journey Gym while you watch…

The Chief Blonde Remarks: So now that you understand how easy to use, effective, and laptop-like the Journey Gym is, now I’ll tell you what I think of it–and more important, what my working-out husband thinks of it. I thought I would be confused by the initial set up. It just looked so organized and simple, I didn’t think I could figure it out. So I showed it to Walt–who can figure out most anything (without directions). So while he opened the Journey Gym and poked around, I read the 5 easy set-up steps. Gave Walt a couple of pointers (HAHA) and we had it set up in 1 minute–really!

So here is me giving it a try:

Teehee! Actually it is super easy to set up. You just open it, attach the legs, attach the handles to the level of resistance band and start working out, like I am in the picture above. The Journey Gym comes with a work out/training video–yipee! I am horrible at figuring how to work out myself. My husband feels that he could use it in place of the gym in the basement, when he travels or if he just wants to work out upstairs in front of the TV! He is an experienced gym rat so the 20 different resistance bands that deliver from 5 to 75 pounds of resistance (and are built right into the gym) are what made a difference in his mind. I am only 5′ 4″ so the design fits me well, but Walt is 6’6″ –he was surprised how the Journey Gym has adjustable handles (just one touch of a button) to quickly accommodate his height. The gym can accommodate two people working out at once and will hold up to 350 pounds. Walt is a mere 215 pounds–so I can’t be over 135 pounds if we were to use it at the same time…hmmm. Oh well, I don’t want to show him up, so we will probably use it separately. My absolute favorite part (other than the fact Walt loves it) is that it stows right into our entertainment center, where we can reach it easily for daily use! Women over 45 and their husbands (and younger women too) will love Journey Gym.

The Chief Blonde Remarks: I read Make the Bread Buy the Butter Jennifer Reese in one weekend while riding in the car on the way to an adventure weekend at Mackinaw Island with my husband. All the way to the Island and back, I was reading my husband the hilarious stories of Jennifer’s adventures as she gets herself into gut-busting situations of chicken, duck, goat and turkey purchasing. We laughed all the way as we read story after story that endeavored to evaluate–so Should I Buy it or Make it? I had never read a book written in this fashion, with stories and recipes entwined together and I can’t even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed it. I found myself giggling (a lot) at all her silly adventures as she details how her family coped, how she was able to execute age-old tasks in a 21 Century World, and the art of raising livestock by the VERY non-agriculturally educated! What she finds will genuinely surprise you. I loved this book and give it a hearty two thumbs up!

The Chief Blonde Remarks: Brad’s Raw Foods states they make the World’s healthiest chip! Well, I don’t know if they can back up that claim but I am sure they make one of the best tasting healthy chips I have ever eaten. I am wild about kale chips and often make my own. Brad’s kale chips trounce my homemade ones by a long shot! In the video below Hoda raves about the Kale chips but says you have to eat them with Hummus and says that you won’t like the taste. I don’t know where her tastebuds are at…I just love the taste of Brad’s Kale chips…they are a wonderful snack in both the flavors that I tried, Naked (plain with Vegan cheese) and Vampire Killer (garlic and Vegan Cheese). Love them. I find the taste very nutty and smokey…Yum. I also didn’t note the digestive qualities that Hoda mentioned, however it certainly can’t hurt..RIGHT? Two Big Blonde thumbs up on these!
