Does your Life get WILD? and MESSY?
There are certain times in life when we just go a little bit TOO far. You know, get wild and crazy. That is often followed by a HUGE mess. I think of my children’s graduation open houses which had from 100 to 250 people each. We cleaned up for days ahead of time and days after!

The Chief Blonde’s Son’s Open House–We went through a ton of trash bags that day!
Our most recent venture into “Messy” was a condo that we purchased for rental income. When we first bought it, we thought we’d do a little painting and be done. HA! First, we decided to replace the shower door and then the shower handles looked bad. As my husband was messing with those, the internal pipes started to leak and BAHM! Our quick turnaround rental property turned into a 12 day job of drywall repair, painting, recarpeting, and on and on. Well, this little wild and crazy mess caused us TONS of trash.

Leaky Pipes can Lead to Wild and Messy Situations!
Thank goodness we had been sent the Glad Black Bags to sample! These Extra Strong bags are tear resistant so when we had to stuff all that oddly shaped trash from our condo renovation into them, we could be confident that we weren’t creating a new mess. The drawstring closure made it easy to manage as we closed it. The Stretchable Strength of the Gald Black bags meant we could easily carry the packed bag to the dumpster at the end of the condo complex.
I am proud of the finished product and proud to offer it to a nice family. We took an 30 year old condo and from its “wild life remnant” state to a property that sparkles in that neighborhood. We did our own little part to keep that neighborhood and America beautiful.
Celebrate Trash to Treasure–Keep America Beautiful!

Famed Mosiac Artist, Jason Mecier will take some of the items that Glad Black Bag collects as it works with Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup Teams; Jason will then create works of art. Four of these “trash to treasure” pieces which will highlight “wild life remnants” from everyday people and some celebrities. The art will be auctioned on Ebay with the proceeds going to Keep America Beautiful’s Great America Cleanup events. You can bid on any of these 4 art pieces April 16th through April 26th.
“I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Glad Black Bag and received a Glad Black Bag product and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate. I was also asked to “pin” one (1) Glad Black Bag Art Auction photo on Pinterest.
I love the bear and the Chimpanzee. Just checked out the Chimps price at auction because my sister would love it but don’t think I will be able to put a bit on it.
Thank you for sharing the artwork and the cause.
I love Glad bags, they are the best! Wow, those pieces of art are really made of recycled trash? That is so awesome!! I love that the auction proceeds will go to such a great cause, kudos to Glad Jason Mecier!
Loved this post! So creative and fun! Neat ideas!
those art pictures are so much fun! they look great
I love the recycling! Earth Day and Recycling was such a huge thing when I was growing up and nothing pleases me more than to see it continue. Sorry about that shower…..makes me wonder what the insides of my walls are looking like these days!
That is just amazing! It never fails to surprise me that something so extraordinary can be made from something so ordiany!
That artwork is awesome! From recycled materials? Awesome!
Oh wow, look at that. That is pretty cool.
I love Glad bags too! I always used them until we started doing trash bag fundraisers at school. I wish Glad would do these fundraisers. Everyone usually buys a year stockpile. I love the pieces of art too!
Oh, I need strong garbage bags. We are cleaning out our house now and we need something that wont rip or tear. Great post!
I love Glad bags:-) They hold up better than most other trash bags. I’m also a fan of that chimp in the art auction, lol.
What fantastic art, and all recycled trash?! Who’d know! I love innovative artists like that, especially when they work for a good cause.
I love the Glad bags and that you can fit pretty much anything into them without breaking! That artwork is so cool!
