Bloom Jewelry Launches Black Ties, Shuns Return of the Scrunchie
Bloom Jewelry announces the launch of Bloom Black Ties, a chic, new collection of hair elastics handmade in America. Black Ties are redefining how women think about their accessories by combining classic designs from the Bloom Jewelry collection with the everyday utility of a hair elastic.
Remember the Scrunchie? The Ugliest Accessory to EVER come out of the 80s!
Even a beauty like Catherine Zeta Jones has a hard time rocking the Scrunchie look for the 80s!
“As women, we notice the small details and Bloom Black Ties are just that,” said Lindsay Bloom, head designer and founder of Bloom Jewelry. “Black Ties take a simple idea – the hair elastic – and dress it up as an essential fashion accessory for women.”
The creation of Black Ties began by accident with the designer on her wedding day almost walking down the aisle wearing a black hair elastic on her wrist. What could have been a fashion disaster for the bride inspired a great idea. In the years following, Bloom regularly noticed fashionable women wearing black hair elastics on their wrists. Understanding the convenience and practicality, Bloom Jewelry set out to find a way to make this everyday item more stylish.
The Black Ties collection consists of eight different product lines including Signature chain, classic Crest and the fancy Gala. Designs feature Sterling Silver and 14k gold-filled detailing, stylish chains, rhinestone and pearls. Black Ties retail from $26 to $48 for a package of two and combine seamlessly with Bloom Jewelry bangles, bracelets and other jewelry pieces.
Catherine O’Hara (57) wears Bloom Black Ties to the SAG Awards
Bloom Black Ties premiered at the Golden Globes to positive acclaim, “Oh cool. These are great,” commented Jennifer Love Hewitt, and “Hair band and a bracelet, perfect!” said Debbie Ryan. They were also worn by Catherine O’Hara at the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards and Leona Lewis at the GRAMMYs.
Bloom Black Ties are sold in boutiques across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico and online at www.bloomblackties.com.
Chief Blonde Remarks: At $14-$24 each, Bloom Black Ties seem pricey at first glance. But put one on your wrist and the instant reaction will be “Cool” from yourself or your girlfriends. You instantly know you MUST have one (or two as they come in packages of two). What a remarkable idea, who can believe it took this long to design such a fashionable and ingenious product? I received two different styles of the Bloom Black Ties, I experienced the braided black ties and the Gala black ties. Both were very different from one another, beautiful in their own right and worthy to be worn as a bracelet while highly functional as a hair tie. Wonderful!
Blog Note: The Chief Blonde received a product to sample. No compensation was provided. The opinions expressed are her own.
