Hannspree 55″ HDTV debuts at CES 2011.
Hannspree, a leading manufacturer of creatively designed televisions and other consumer electronics, debuted a new line of 2011 products and also offered a sneak peak at yet to be released items—including a new tablet PC called HannsPad, operating on the ANDROID platform—during the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES), January 6-9 in Las Vegas. Handspree also premiered their products at the exclusive Press event at Pat Meier’s Lunch at Piero where Still Blonde after all these YEARS, a blog for Women over 45, was in attendance.
Chief Blonde Remarks: With over 4.5 million TVs to be sold, just prior to the Super Bowl, we think Hannspree has somthing quite fun and special to offer. We encountered Taiwanese TV manufacturer Hannspree when we attend Lunch at Peiro’s 2011. Items in their line-up which we found particularly unique were their line-up of novelty TVs. Apparently novelty is one of Hannspree’s claims to fame in the electronics world. Now their novelty TVs have been super-sized up to 55″ HDTV in a great sports theme of football, basketball, soccer and for the foodie/Apple lover a large screen apple frame!
In the past, Hannspree has featured novelty TVs, however until now, their basketball, animal, and other themed TVs have been smaller sized TVs in the 19″ to 28″ range. The larger 55″ TVs each feature full HD technology, 4 HDMI ports, LCD screen and a 1080p resolution. The price for this high end monster? Well, maybe you need to be on a football player’s salary to afford it at…gulp..a projected $9000. However, I can see wealthy sports fanatics outfitting their sports bars and man caves with these novelty beauties. What upscale public sports bar wouldn’t want a few of these hanging on the wall as well? No doubt about it, a real attention getter!
